Fridge magnet size visualizer
Compare common fridge magnet sizes beside a bank-card outline, then adjust the scale to match your screen.
Match the card before judging the size
Screen dimensions vary, so a shape drawn in millimeters can appear larger or smaller than its real counterpart. Hold a bank card against the dashed outline and adjust the scale until its edges match. If you change browser zoom or move the window to another display, check the outline again.
The preview is useful for comparing shapes. For a finished cut size, check a ruler or ask the seller for a sample. The reference outline is about 3.37 x 2.13 in (85.6 x 54 mm), rounded to the dimensions used throughout this guide.
Choose a shape for the photograph
A 2 x 3 in rectangle follows the same 3:2 proportion as a 4 x 6 in photo print. A square crop removes part of a rectangular photo. A round crop removes the corners as well, so faces near the edge need extra room.
Compare the 2.25 in round (57.15 mm) with the 2.5 in square (63.5 mm) to see how the outline changes. The square has more space at the corners even though the dimensions are close.
Before sending a file to a printer, open its actual template. A visible border, rim, or bleed area can reduce the part of the picture that appears on the finished magnet. The photo magnet guide explains the different constructions.
Work out the space on the door
The size preview shows one magnet. The layout planner places repeated shapes in an area you measure, with a gap you choose. Use it to compare a row of small rounds with a few larger rectangles.
Measure the flat area you want to use, leaving out the handle, dispenser, and curved edges. A door can be wide enough for a row while still having very little uninterrupted space.
Thickness is a separate dimension. A thin sheet and a pressed shell can have the same outline but sit differently against a door. Sizes and thickness covers that difference.
